We strive to meet the needs of all our dancers and are happy to offer a variety of recreational, competition and specialty classes. Our classes are for ages 18 months and up. Sibling discount is 20%

Recreational Classes






Our recreational dance classes instruct in ballet, tap and jazz in a fun, no-stress, encouraging environment. Our recreational dancers perform in the annual dance recital in May, as well as the Mt. Holly Christmas Parade and Mt. Holly Springfest. 


These classes do NOT participate in competition.


Barbie's Ballerinas and Michelle's Ballerinas (ages 2-3)

30 minute class An introduction to dance and basic movement principles with music your child loves. Class will incorporate movements to music with games at times.

Barbie's Ballerinas - Wednesdays 6:00 - 6:30

Michelle's Ballerinas - Thursdays 6:30 - 7:00




Twirlerz (ages 3-4)

30 minute class Still a basic introduction to dance, but will promote more complicated movements and rhythms. Students will be introduced to barre work and center work. 

Twirlerz - Tuesdays 7:00 - 7:30




Dazzlerz (ages 4-5)

30 minute class Concentration is placed on unison dancing, as well as proper technique. Class includes barre work, center work and introduction to across the floor. 

Dazzlerz - Thursdays 5:30 - 6:00 OR 7:00 - 7:30




Sparklerz (Grades K-1st, ages 5-6)

30 minute class Progressions across the floor are introduced along with usage of proper dance terminology. Class includes barre work, center work and a new focus on performance.

Sparklerz - Tuesdays 6:00 - 6:30



Kickerz (Grades 2-4, ages 6-8)

1 hour class A more definitive relationship with dance and music is established. Students participate in barre work, across the floor, center work and solo presentation of steps. Includes tap, jazz and ballet.

Kickerz - Mondays 6:30 - 7:30




Starz (grades 2-5)

Does your child love to dance? We would love to have them in our intentionally small sized class focusing on perfecting the basics of all dance genres!

Starz - Tuesdays 7:30 - 8:00






Ovation Performance Troupes







These groups are competition teams! Our Ovation Troupes will have our annual auditions and placements at Booty Camp August 30 - September 2. If you are interested in joining our Ovation Performance Troupes, please register for Booty Camp!






Mini Ovation Performance Troupe (age 4 - 2nd grade)

By placement only and must attend summer Mini Ovation Booty Camp to be placed in this class. Students will perform a ballet, jazz and tap routine in the recital in May. They will compete one of those dances at one regional dance competition, with the option to compete more depending on how well they do.



Junior Ovation Performance Troupe (2nd-5th grade)

A high energy class with concentration placed on movement perfection and lyricism. Classes include intense warm-up, barre work, center work and precision movements. Students will perform a lyrical, jazz and tap routine in the recital in May. They will compete their dances at 2-3 regional dance competitions and also at Nationals in Rock Hill, SC. Enrollment in Junior ballet and stretch classes is mandatory if participating in Junior Ovation Performance Troupe. 




Senior Ovation Performance Troupe (6th – 12 grade)

Dancers will learn current dance styles in an age appropriate environment. All genres are separated so you may enroll in only the styles you wish. Each genre competes at the regional and national level. Enrollment in Senior Ballet and stretch is required.

Any of these classes can be taken for by themselves or added on for extra fun!


Please note that some of these are competition classes!


Breakdancing (ages 4-12)

Learn to be a “B-Boy” or “B-Girl”! Exciting popping and locking techniques are taught along with freezes and body spins.

Wednesdays 5:00 - 5:30



Mini Clogging (ages 4-7)

An introductory clogging class with fun music and upbeat traditional clogging steps.

Mondays 7:30 - 8:00



Junior Clogging (2nd - 5th grade)

Focus is on primary clogging skills and execution. Speed and clarity of sounds are studied. This class will attend one regional and one national competition.

Mondays 8:00 - 8:30




Senior Clogging (5th-12th grade)

An advanced clogging class for the experienced dancer. Must have at least 2 years experience in clogging. Will attend regional and national competitions.

Tuesdays 6:30 - 7:00




Mini Hip Hop (ages 4-2nd grade)

Basic Hip Hop fundamantals to age appropriate music. Lots of fun! Will compete at the regional and possibly national level. 

Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:00




Jr. Hip Hop (3rd – 6th grade)

Basic hip hop fundamentals are instructed in a fun environment. This class competes at regional and national competitions.

Mondays 7:30 - 8:00




Senior Hip-Hop (6th - 12th grade)

Hip-hop and break-dance fundamentals are taught and practiced weekly. Students will learn and perform upbeat hip-hop routines. This class competes at regional and national competitions.

Mondays 8:30 - 9:00



Pointe Technique Choreography (6th-12th grade)

A beginner to intermediate pointe class focusing on classical and contemporary ballet. Must also be enrolled in Senior Ballet.

Thursdays 5:30 - 6:00






Pom Class will be taught in the style of high school and collegiate dance teams. Tumbling will be incorporated, as will cheer motions and dance skills.

Mini Pom - age 4 -2nd grade Mondays 5:30 - 6:00

Junior Pom - 2nd - 5th grade Thursdays 6:30 - 7:00

Ovation Pom - 5th - 12th grade Mondays 6:00 - 6:30



Tumbling Classes





We offer an extensive tumbling and acrobatics program to achieve skills commonly used in dance performance and also in cheer.



Tiny Tumblerz

Ages 1-3

Focus will be on flexibility and achieving body awareness to prepare for future achievement of tumbling skills.

Thursdays 6:00 - 6:30



Mini Tumblerz

Ages 4-6

Flexibility and strength are still the focus. Skills to be trained on include cartwheels, front and back walkovers, bridge, front limbers and other tumbling skills of that level.

Wednesdays 6:00 - 6:30



Junior Tumblerz

Ages 7-18

Furthering training in flexibility and strength to achieve skills such as round offs, cartwheels, front and back walkovers, front limbers and other tumbling skills of that level.

Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:00




Acro class

Ages 4 and older

A class focusing more on back flexibility and the skills that display those including chin stands, scales and more..

Fridays 5:00 - 5:30




Aerial Class

Ages 4-18)

A class specifically for achieving an aerial. Pre-requisites are consistent cartwheels.

Fridays 5:30 - 6:00




Back Handspring Class

Ages 4 and older

A class specifically for achieving a back handspring. Pre-requisites are consistent roundoffs.

Mondays 7:30 - 8:00




Advanced Tumbling

All ages

Pre-requisites are an aerial and/or back handspring. Skills to be achieved in this class are front aerials, back tucks and more.

Wednesdays 5:00 - 5:30








We are happy to offer private lessons, solo/duet choreography and more.
